It is also known as the "King of Honey". It does not occur in large quantities, in Poland there are relatively few heaths, and the nectar collection period is the turn of August and September. The taste of honey can be described as bitter and sharp, which may be surprising, because we are used to eating sweet products. It is famous for the significant amount of enzymes and free amino acids that can be found in it. The heather variety is a valuable source of iron, amino acids, vitamin A, B and B6. Its healing properties include inflammation of the oral cavity, throat, stomach and intestines. Its regular consumption improves the functioning of the kidneys, urinary tract and prostate gland.
